White River, Arkansas
When we head out to Arkansas to fish the famous White River, it’s nothing but excitement. The White River in Arkansas is a 722-mile waterway stretching from the Boston Mountains in the Ozarks to the Mississippi River. It is internationally famous for its world-class, year-round cold-water tailwater trout fishery famous for those epic catches — there is a reason that it is touted as the “Trout Capital of the USA”. These fish that we are reeling in are trophy fish - trophy Rainbow, Brown, Cutthroat, and Brook Trout!
We’re lucky enough to book an entire rustic cabin right on the river - giving us an incredible view, hosted by Jeff McKenna, and home-cooked meals enjoyed on the deck overlooking this world-famous river. Shore fishing when you wake up and sipping your coffee is a great way to start the day. And even after a long day of casting and reeling and fishing and hooking and having a blast, while the dinner cooks, you can shore fish again, into the evening. Nowhere to be. Just there.
Our guides are consistent, knowledgeable, fishy, and fun - making the days there exceptional. We’ve been going year after year every spring and we know what to expect, we know what we can catch, and we know the food and the beverages (sometimes whisky) will flow.
